ALUMINUM-HYDROGEN POWER ENGINEERING

One of important spheres of INEP activities is the R&D work associated with the utilization of alternative energy carriers, such as the study of aluminum as a universal ecologically safe energy carrier.

The investigations of aluminum-hydrogen power engineering are performed at INEP along the following lines:

• Development of portable power-supply devices
• Portable sources of current based on aluminum-water hydrogen generators
• Development of emergency stationary air-aluminum electrochemical generators
• Units for use in means of transportation
• Development of air cathodes, anode alloys, and electrodes
• Energy-technology facilities
