GAS-TURBINE POWER PLANTS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR MILITARY USES AND CONVERTED FOR CIVIL APPLICATIONS
Activities are under way at INEP, which are aimed at investigating and developing energy sources both for autonomous operation and for operation in combination with power network for supplying enterprises and urban consumers (municipal organizations and living blocks).
Investigations are performed at INEP and proposals are made in the following spheres:
- raising the technical-and-economic performance of facilities (efficiency in the rated and part-load modes, specific power);
- improving the environmental safety characteristics of energy sources;
- increasing the maneuverability, including the electric and thermal power control;
- operation in combination with power network.
