GAS-TURBINE POWER PLANTS
Gas-turbine investigations are under way at INEP JIHT RAS in the following spheres:
· raising the efficiency (electric) of gas-turbine plants, including part-load conditions;
· increasing the fuel heat utilization factor;
· improving the environmental safety characteristics of the plants;
· increasing the maneuverability, including the electric and thermal power control.
These activities include theoretical studies and experiments in test-bed facilities.
The Demotsentr full-scale gas-turbine energy-conversion facility with electric power of 1 MW has been developed at INEP and involved in joint operation with power plants of Mosenergo utility company. Integrated experiments are performed in this facility.
A new scheme of gas-turbine facility with “wet” compression and “wet” regeneration of heat is proposed at INEP; the technical and economic characteristics of this scheme are superior to the characteristics of existing analogs and of those being discussed. Theoretical models have been constructed and are presently being verified at the Demotsentr facility.
