Institute for New Energetic Problems (INEP JIHT RAS) is a constituent part of Joint Institute for High Temperatures of Russian Academy of Sciences (http://www.oivtran.ru/) and, along with other institutes of JIHT RAS, is active in the field of power generation and utilization of energy of various types.
MAIN SPHERES OF ACTIVITIES:
INVESTIGATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW TYPES OF ELECTRICAL, THERMAL, AND MECHANICAL ENERGY SOURCES, CAPABLE OF OPERATING BOTH AUTONOMOUSLY AND IN COMBINATION WITH AN ENERGY SYSTEM;
INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF ENERGY-SAVING EQUIPMENT IN VARIOUS BRANCHES OF ECONOMY SUCH AS TRANSPORT, METALLURGY, AGRICULTURAL-PRODUCTION COMPLEX, FOOD INDUSTRY, PRODUCTION OF BUILDING MATERIALS, AND OTHERS;
ELABORATION OF MEASURES AND ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS AIMED AT REDUCING THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION.ENERGY AUDITING;
ACTIVITIES AIMED AT RESOURCE SAVING AND EXTENDING THE SERVICE LIFE OF STRUCTURES.
INEP is capable of performing work at different stages, starting with investigations and up to development of prototype and small-quantity production. For this purpose, INEP has, in addition to principal research divisions and laboratories and planning-and-design units, the Experimental Production Unit. INEP has highly qualified personnel on its staff, including PhD’s and candidates of sciences and engineers and technicians of high skills and long experience. Several of INEP employees have won the State Prize.
Director of INEP is Andrei Z. Zhuk, PhD (Phys.-Math.)
