Conference on The Results of Basic Research in the Field of Power Engineering and Their Practical Significance was held at Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences (OIVT RAN) on March 24–26, 2008.

     The Conference was attended by 210 scientists and specialists from 44 organizations.

     The Conference activities were performed in seven sections; five plenary and 93 section presentations were made. Abstracts of papers have been published, and a collection of selected reports is being prepared for publication.
